Print on demand (POD) is a printing technology and business process in which copies of a book (or other document) are not printed until an order has been received, allowing books to be printed singly, or in a small number .
Print on demand with digital technology is used as a way of printing items for a fixed price per copy, despite of the size of the order. While the unit price of each physical copy printed is higher than with offset printing, the average cost is lower for very small print runs, because setup costs are much higher for offset printing. Many academic publishers, including university presses, use POD services to maintain a largebacklist; some even use POD for all of their publications.
It is important to say that we offer our Print on Demand Service without Open Access Service, e.g. in case you want to print your thesis without open access service.
We offer special Print on Demand discounts, depending on the order of the reprints*:
|Number of copies
*Book unit price depends on a book format and number of pages, e.g. in table above A5 format, with 100 pages and cover page in color. Price excludes shipment costs and V.A.T. which is added depended on the country where order has been done.
